The Light Between Oceans

"Through the windows, the waves rise, sacrificing themselves in a blizzard of white, far out to sea."

"Here in a place where there's just wind and waves and light."

"No one ever has or ever will travel quite the same path on earth."

"Very slowly, he turned a full circle, taking in the nothingness of it all.  It seemed his lungs could never be large enough to breathe in this much air, his eyes could never see the full extent of the rolling, roaring ocean.  For the briefest moment, he had no edges."
L.M. Stedman
The Light Between Oceans

The days of Summer have come to an end.  I felt like I was in another realm of space and time.   As if I were inside the midst of a vast wave.  The water enveloping me as  sunlight softly penetrated  my skin. The days melted into the nights...My soul quietly free, living in the water and sun.  As if, "for the briefest moment, I had no edges."  It is the water, being immersed in water,  that I needed.
